The Old Testament for Teens

The Old Testament for Teens looks at the stories and concepts contained in the Old Testament through an educational perspective. Based on courses teaching Bible literacy to teens, this book discusses the literary, philosophical, historical, and cultural references that arise from the Old Testament. This book aims to help teenagers understand some of the more important aspects of the Old Testament through an educational approach that recognizes that the majority of our cultural and social history has been strongly influenced by interpretations of Biblical episodes. For instance, students learn to appreciate relevant works of Western art by connecting those works with stories and passages from the Bible.
