Routledge International Handbook of Memory Studies

The Handbook of Memory Studies offers students and researchers oiriginal contributions that comprise the debates, intersections and future courses of the field. It is divided in six themed sections: 1) theories of memory, 2) social and cultural practices of memory, 3) memory in public discourse, 4) technologies that shape memory, 5) controversial pasts, 6) and intangible memory. A strong emphasis is placed on the interdisciplinary breadth of Memory Studies with contributions from leading international scholars in sociology, anthropology, psychology, philosophy, film studies, media studies, archive and museum studies, literature and history. The Handbook addresses the core concerns and foundations of this interdisciplinary field while aiming to point out new directions in Memory Studies.
